This page is a resource for UK patients diagnosed with a bone sarcoma - sometimes referred to as primary bone cancers. This distinguishes them from secondary cancers in the bone. This page provides links to web pages around the world which can offer information and advice to patients. Please advise us if you find any of the links do not work.

Cancer Help UK

Cancer Help is run by Cancer Research UK - the leading charity. Excellent material including 'Questions for Your Doctors'. As well as the link use the site's search function as there are further references within the site.

Cancer Backup

The UK's cancer information charity. This is the sarcoma booklet which is also available in print but the website is worth searching further.
Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) BCRT is the UK's leading support and research funding charity for primary bone cancers. It was founded and is run by parents and patients, supported by leading doctors.

Royal Orthopaedic Hospital (Birmingham) One of the two largest UK treatment centres for primary bone cancers.
Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore) The other one.  Both ROH and RNOH are centrally funded by the NHS to treat these cancers (along with four smaller treatment centres).

PDQ is the US National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) comprehensive cancer information database. The patient files carry links to the professionals files.
... for osteosarcoma This link is to the patient file for ostesarcoma and MFH
... for Ewings tumours This link is to the patient file for Ewings family of tumours including PNET (primitive neuroectodermal tumour).

MSKCC Paediatric

The excellent pages from one of the USA's leading cancer centres, Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. These pages look at the whole spectrum of paediatric sarcoma including soft tissue tumours.

Sarcoma Alliance

US based patient group which also fund raises for research.
